Andrew is a Black American who collaborates with individuals and couples to support meaningful change and an improved way of being. He adapts and integrates elements from person-centered, psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral, and postmodern approaches and is sensitive to the dynamics of overlapping identities and sociocultural hierarchies. The principles of empathy, resilience, and interbeing lie at the heart of his clinical philosophy.
Andrew received his MA in Mental Health and Wellness Counseling from New York University. He holds a JD from Yale Law School. He also holds a BA in History and a BM in Musicology from the University of Michigan. Andrew completed his graduate internship at the Psychotherapy & Counseling Center of Queens in the culturally rich community of Astoria.
